Patricia Urquiola Moroso “Smock” Leather Swivel Chair

Design Plus Gallery presents a Moroso “Smock” swivel chair. This chair was designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso. The chairs frame which includes the round base plate has been rendered in metal which has been powder coated in a deep Gray color. The seat and back are comprised of one piece of Grayish Blue leather which is wrapped around the frame and secured. The chair is further enhanced by actually smocking the the leather. Smocking was popular in days gone by , especially on little girls clothing. It merely means to gather and stitch fabric together to create a pattern. This is a conversation piece for sure!
