Design Plus Gallery presents a Mother of Inlaid Pearl Throne Chair of Antiquity from Turkey or Syrah. This antique is handcrafted likely from the 19th century. The throne armchair is hand-carved and inlaid with mother-of-pearl on solid walnut wood. The inlaid mother-of-pearl in star insets, cut-out back hand-carved with Arabic calligraphy writing, floral and foliate Moorish decoration, stylized foliate scrolled arms. Some focal points of the stars inlays are missing but overall the chair is in good condition for it age + use.
